STRATEGY, DESIGN AND RESEARCH IN THE HEALTHCARE SPACE ·
SPECIALIZING IN MENTAL AND COGNITIVE HEALTH TECH
Methodical is a collective of scholars, researchers and designers with experience, credentials and education in healthcare. We partner with teams building tools for mental and cognitive health — and we stay with the work long enough to see it through.

A.
One domain, deeply understood: mental and cognitive health, within healthcare broadly.
B.
Priced so partnerships can last longer, go deeper and stay accessible.
C.
The same people, project after project — remote or embedded onsite.
01 — Background
Many of us have worked as consultants or inside agencies. We found the model that tries to serve everything from e‑commerce to finance to health tech head‑spinning — and unsustainable for both individual contributors doing the work and the people relying on it.
We also saw what happens when consultants are staffed on and off rapidly: context is lost, trust resets, and a great project or a great team breaks up midway through.
So we built the opposite: a specialized collective you can return to.
02 — Methods
2.1
We focus on mental and cognitive health technology, and support healthcare more broadly. Depth in one area means less ramp‑up and better judgment from day one.
2.2
Our rates are set to be sustainable, not to maximize a single engagement — so partnerships can run longer, go richer, and stay within reach for teams doing important work.
2.3
You work with the same collaborators over time. When a new phase starts, the people who already know your product, users and constraints come back with it.
03 — Services
We are a hybrid applied and research group. Here is where we typically help.
Studies with patients, clinicians and caregivers; usability testing that accounts for cognitive and emotional load; evidence reviews that connect product decisions to the literature.
Interfaces and care journeys for mental health platforms, cognitive assessment and training tools, and clinician‑facing systems — designed to be calm, clear and accessible.
Research roadmaps, product direction and outcome measures that help teams decide what to build next and how they will know it is working.
Mental and cognitive health is our focus, not our fence. We support healthcare technology work more generally where our experience fits.

04 — Ways to engage
Distributed researchers and designers who plug into your rituals and tools.
Collaborators who sit with your team for a phase of work, in person.
Specialist capacity added alongside your own people, scaled up or down as needed.
Come back to the same people for the next phase — no reintroductions required.

05 — The Hub
Methodical is a collective that ebbs and flows in intensity: some seasons the lights are blazing, and other times they dim a little as we spin off into our own deep projects. Our collective is a hub that springs to life when the next idea or engagement brings us back.
We offer direct consultation to companies and organizations that need to move swiftly and break out of siloed thinking, and we also spin out small software‑as‑a‑service tools with low monthly fees, built with a mission to make mental and cognitive health tech accessible to individuals and small to mid-size organizations.
